At the northern tip of Barbados, the Caribbean Sea meets the great North Atlantic Ocean. With nothing to the east for literally thousands of miles, the coastline is subjected to some impressive forces, resulting in some huge waves. 

Perched on a cliff, I set up my camera and took a long exposure image, finishing and moving away just seconds before a huge wave came in and while not in danger, I would have been completely soaked, along with all my camera equipment! Either way, I think this is one of the finest images I have captured, it was worth the effort.
